Most people enjoy helping people. People are most happy when they are GROWING and helping others grow. “Growth” is a turn key to happiness (enjoyment/fulfillment). Growth occurs rapidly when your into it...into playing…into learning…into doing…into failing…into having fun…into achieving…into getting better…into being more…into contributing more…and owning it all.
Professional problem solvers… professional producers... help people align their values (revealed through dialogue/relationships) with their actions (our business solutions)…growth.
Most people do not want to earn six figures. It is NOT for everyone. It may not be for you. And that is O.K. But your mentors job is to call B.S. (w/ a smile) on your excuses until you tell them to stop or walk away. Either way, great coaches will always move on from “athletes” who keep saying they can’t. Keep in mind, blindspots and breakdowns always precede breakthroughs.
Most people want smaller challenges in their life…vs…greater skills. Greater “Impact/Contribution” comes from greater skills (capacity). For your business to be “built to last”…You must discover/conclude/believe… that it aligns with Jim Collins’ three intersecting circle above? If it doesn’t, seek counsel and coaching until you know 100% for sure (either way). If you really, truly want to help more people (in your business)… Acknowledge that it will cost you something (i.e. slaying dragons). Success and fulfillment are always accompanied by opportunity, difficulty and transformation…as do all great stories.
